Welcome to Falcons Year 5/6
We are excited to welcome you to Falcons Class, taught by Mr Howell with support from our wonderful teaching assistant, Mrs Mutimer.
Below you will find our welcome letter, which contains all the key information you need for the year ahead.
This page will be regularly updated each term with important documents, as well as photos and highlights of our learning and class events. Be sure to check back often to see what we’ve been up to!
On Friday 26th September, Year 5 hosted a Macmillan Coffee Morning, which raised £341.50 for this worthwhile charity. Macmillan Cancer Support provides vital care, information and financial help for people living with cancer and their families, and we are very proud of our pupils for organising such a successful event. Thank you to everyone who baked and donated cakes, and to those who joined us — the children were thrilled to welcome you and to see their efforts so well supported.
On October 10th, we were thrilled to welcome author Emma Carroll to our school on Monday to speak with pupils from Falcons class. Emma shared fascinating insights into her writing process, including where she finds inspiration and how her stories take shape from first ideas to finished books. A group of pupils had the exciting opportunity to interview Emma, asking thoughtful questions about her career and her latest novel, Vampires of the West Country. Emma also kindly signed copies of her new book for the children. A huge thank you to The Rocket Bookshop in Salisbury for arranging this inspiring visit and helping to make it such a memorable experience for our young readers and writers.
