Welcome to Falcons Year 5/6
We are excited to welcome you to Falcons Class, taught by Mr Howell with support from our wonderful teaching assistant, Mrs Mutimer.

On Friday 26th September, Year 5 hosted a Macmillan Coffee Morning, which raised £341.50 for this worthwhile charity. Macmillan Cancer Support provides vital care, information and financial help for people living with cancer and their families, and we are very proud of our pupils for organising such a successful event. Thank you to everyone who baked and donated cakes, and to those who joined us — the children were thrilled to welcome you and to see their efforts so well supported.
a special visitor!
This week, Falcons Class enjoyed a very special visit from Zach George, better known to many children as Steel from the TV show Gladiators. Zach visited us alongside his fitness programme, Zactiv, to share his experiences and inspire us to lead healthy, active lives.
The children were excited to meet a real Gladiator and listened carefully as Zach talked about his journey from professional athlete to television star. He explained the hard work, dedication and training required to achieve his goals and encouraged everyone to believe in themselves and never give up.
The visit included an engaging question-and-answer session, where pupils had the opportunity to ask Zach a variety of thoughtful questions. These included, “What is your favourite exercise?” and “How did you get your job as a Gladiator?” Zach explained that he enjoys a range of strength and fitness exercises and spoke about the auditions, training and commitment that helped him secure his role as Steel.
The children also took part in fun Zactiv activities, which promoted confidence, resilience and physical fitness. It was wonderful to see everyone joining in enthusiastically and challenging themselves to try something new.
The visit was a memorable experience for all of Falcons Class and left the children feeling motivated, inspired and ready to embrace an active lifestyle.
