Letter to Parents - Harry Potter Trip

Autumn 1

We’re off to a fantastic start this academic year! Our new class is buzzing with excitement as we focus on teamwork and collaboration. One highlight so far? Tackling the fun and creative challenge of seeing which team could make the longest paper chain together. It’s been a great way to bond and show off our problem-solving skills. Here’s to many more adventures ahead!

Autumn 2

🌟 Spectacular Greek Day! 🌟

What an incredible journey back in time we had on Greek Day! The children embraced the spirit of Ancient Greece as they stepped into the shoes of Athenian warriors, crafted beautiful oil pots and intricate mosaics, designed copper wire brooches, and created wax notepads—just a glimpse of the fantastic activities on offer.

The day culminated in a vibrant celebration in our own theatre, where every child had the chance to shine in a wonderful performance. It was a truly unforgettable day filled with creativity, learning, and lots of smiles! 🎭🏺⚔️

Spring term 1

A Magical Trip to Harry Potter Studios

Our recent trip to the Warner Bros. Studio Tour – The Making of Harry Potter was nothing short of enchanting! Students had the chance to immerse themselves in the world of Hogwarts, and it was an experience they'll never forget.

Creative Playwriting Workshop

One of the highlights of the trip was an exciting playwriting workshop. Students were given the rare opportunity to handle real props from the Harry Potter films. Using these items as inspiration, they worked in teams to create their own stories; it was fantastic to see their imagination take flight as they brought their ideas to life.

A Journey Through the Studio

After the workshop, we explored the studio, starting with the awe-inspiring Great Hall. Standing in the very spot where Harry and his friends had countless adventures was a surreal experience for everyone. From there, we visited the Gryffindor Dormitory, seeing the familiar beds and trunks where students like Harry and Hermione slept. No visit would be complete without a photo on a broomstick, so students had the chance to pose like they were soaring through the air. We also saw iconic sets, like Hagrid’s Hut and Diagon Alley, and got an inside look at the props and special effects used in the films. The magic was truly everywhere!

It was a day full of creativity, learning, and of course, magic. We left the studio inspired, with a new appreciation for the effort that went into making the Harry Potter films. We can’t wait to return! ✨
