County Cricket Championships

After winning the Salisbury Schools Cricket Tournament in May, our Year 5/6 team qualified for the County Tournament held on Friday 28th June in Urchfont. This tournament featured all the schools that won their local competitions, so the level of play was exceptionally high.

Our team triumphed in their group, thanks to a match-winning six from Lewis in Owls. Demonstrating remarkable teamwork and skill, they advanced through the elimination rounds to the final, where they won decisively by over 30 runs, earning Downton the title of Cricket Champions of Wiltshire!

The entire team was simply unstoppable, and we are incredibly proud of their achievement!
