Chinese New Year

We celebrated Chinese New Year learning about the story of the animals, making lanterns and writing Chinese numbers using brushes. We found out that this year is the year of the rat and that people celebrate by cleaning their houses, eating special foods, exchanging gifts and watching parades with special dragon and lion dances. The children enjoyed watching these so much that we made up our own dances in PE!
